Prude - prude definition

With major apologies to Byron Katie's "Work" I use the term to work a lot lately to help promote the assumption that hard work is not the way to wealth and happiness.

For some people who work hard is a license to feel justified about complaining. Or feeling self-important.

For others it is a way to pull the wool over the eyes to the fact that they can not - they are doing everything possible, is not it? Exhaustion is the proof of this statement. It can not be their fault, because they are trying so very hard.

Still others are subconsciously using hard work as a way to avoid something. Is it fear of success? or almost any other fear / feeling?
